2. Lisa Ray

In 2009, Lisa Ray, an Indian actress, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and another form of blood cancer she instantly began medication and closed herself away from any media attention for over a year. Lisa faced blood cancer and in 2010, she made an official statement that she had a complete stem cell substitute and was totally healed. Now she has an ambassador for cancer awareness.

One of Bollywood’s greatest director Anurag Basu was infected with acute promyelocytic leukemia, a form of blood cancer,  after his successful film murder in 2004. For 3 years, he battled the disease and made successful movies such as life in a metro gangster and barfi.

The lovely Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has given mixed performances in movies like Bombay and Lajja. She was prescribed with ovarian cancer at 42 years of age. She sought treatment in a New York Hospital and she has come out of the disease, but during her chemotherapy, she has not stopped shooting for films.
